Shows To Help With Those Love Island Withdrawals

It’s been less than 24 hours since Love Island crushed our souls and finished for the summer, and for those ‘loyal’ Love Islanders who watched six days a week for eight weeks straight, it can come as a bit of a shock now that it’s over. So, here are some of the best programmes out there that can fill your time until you forget that Love Island is over or until the new season starts next summer.

This upcoming dark-comedy is centred around two people (played by Jonah Hill and Emma Stone) who are in the late stages of trying out a new pharmaceutical trial for a radical new treatment said to repair anything about the mind. This controversial Netflix series hasn’t even been released yet and it’s already causing quite the stir. Based around a teenager who is overweight, Patty seeks revenge on those who bullied her after undergoing a huge transformation from having her mouth wired shut. The series is experiencing serious uproar over promoting ‘fat-shaming’, however the show’s creator has defended it saying it highlights her own past experiences, but in a comedic way. Airing August 10th.
